Hope you can handle it, cause I'm raw
Many people are outraged by what happened to Genarlow Wilson, I mean, who wouldn't be. Let's face it, at 17 most boys are engaging in oral sex and I don't know why people are acting like he committed some unusual crime. A slap on the wrist would have been sufficient to steer him in the right direction, but 10 years! I hate to always bring race into the mix, but I can't help but compare him to the athletes over at Duke who got away with RAPE. But how could we as Americans disrupt young aspiring white men only trying to get an education? Especially because the girl that claimed she was raped was a dirty nigger. In this case, the oral sex was consensual and Wilson wasn't even an adult. I've heard people say "Well where was his mother?" and people who have said that obviously don't have any children, at least not teenage children. For a boy who had good grades and was earning scholarships to some of the best schools in the United States, his mother is hardly to blame for what happened. New Years Eve? What were you doing when you were 17, I'm sure you weren't at New Years eve mass, and even if you were, most young under developed minds seek entertainment and excitement. I'm not sure what exactly the Attorney General was trying to prove by filing the appeal, but the point taken is that young black men belong in prison, and the longer we can keep them there, the better.

Judge reduces 10 year sentence in Genarlow Wilson Case
After already serving 27 months behind bars, 21 year old Genarlow Wilson was granted a 12 month misdemeanor sentence by Superior Court Judge Thomas Wilson. Back in 2005, Wilson was arrested for engaging in consensual oral sex with a 15 year old girl, a crime that originally cost him 10 years behind bars. Though it seemed like a major victory for Wilson and his family, the State attorney general quickly filed a notice of appeal, keeping Wilson behind bars for the time being.
